If you use MySql you must establish a connection using a string similar to this:

value="Driver={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver}; Server=localhost;Port=3306; Database=Test; uid=root;pwd=*****; option=3;"

For a few thousand dollars more (or hundred thousand, it's hard to tell) MS Sql allows you to simplify the connection string thus:

value="server=nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn,****; database=myDatabase; uid=myUserName; pwd=myPassword;"

Here are the lines of code placed next to each other to better compare what your bajillion dollars will buy you:

value="Driver={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver}; Server=localhost; Port=3306; Database=Test; uid=root; pwd=*****; option=3;"
value="server=nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn,****; database=myDatabase; uid=myUserName; pwd=myPassword;"

Of course in both cases you must fill in your own specific address, database name, user name, and password, but any competent technician on the planet will gladly charge you another few thousand dollars to tell you what those are.
